CBM Partnership Organisations

The CBM has well-developed and longstanding partnerships with many other leading British and international industry and trade bodies.

These partenerships allow us to contribute our expertise on key issues to reinforce joint lobbying activities, cooperate closely with them to represent our industry effectively, as well as to draw on our partners’ knowledge to support our members most effectively.

The International Council of Sheet Metal Presswork Associations (ICOSPA) is the prime platform for the cross-national exchange of the sheet metal engineering industry. Its member associations represent over 12,300 companies of six nations throughout the world. Employing over 600,000, the majority of our member companies are small and medium-sized enterprises that supply assemblies, subassemblies and parts to the automotive, the machinery as well as the electrical and electronic industries.  CBM currently holds the presidency of ICOSPA.

Black Country Chamber of Commerce

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce is the leading regional business support agency for firms based within or doing business across Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Through its services and initiatives, it provide platforms and opportunities for businesses to grow, connect and become part of a thriving network which shines a spotlight on the amazing work local companies are doing and helps to make the Black Country a great place to do business.


The European Industrial Fasteners Institute is the recognised European industry association representing producers of bolts, screws, washers, nuts, rivets and other mechanical industrial fasteners. Including the CBM it has national association members from the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and France as well as individual members from other countries.


‘Working together to help prevent work-related deaths and reduce the risk of injury and ill health to people working in the engineering sector’. The Safety & Health Engineering Partnership (SHEP) is a collaboration between a number of engineering focussed Trade Associations, with support from the HSE. CBM is an active member of SHEP.

Reshoring UK

ReshoringUK is a unique collaboration of leading industrial engineering associations to assist manufacturers connect with trusted, accredited suppliers capable of delivering products and services that match their requirements.This structured approach supports OEMs and Tier 1 companies who need to fill gaps in their supply chains or to support the creation of new ones. The facility supports the high value and technical requirements of  aerospace, automotive, rail, marine, energy and medical from conceptual design to complete product delivery for companies searching for UK-based support for their businesses.

Make UK

Make UK champions and celebrates British manufacturing and manufactures. Together, we build a platform for the evolution of UK manufacturing.


EUROFORGE mission is to be the professional partner and net-work builder for the European Forging Associations/companies when dealing with questions concerning common opportunities and threats of the forging business.


The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) is one of the largest and most influential trade associations in the UK. Its resources, reputation and unrivalled automotive data place it at the heart of the UK automotive industry. SMMT represents more than 800 automotive companies in the UK, providing them with a forum to voice their views on issues affecting the sector, helping to guide strategies and build positive relationships with government and regulatory authorities.

Taf Association Forum

Taf Association Forum – Helping associations with strategic development and the day to day running of their organisation and promoting associations to Government, industry and the wider public.
